Born in Rye, New York, Jason started his acting career at age twelve in the late 70's, early 80's family TV series Little House On The Prairie when he got cast in the role of James Cooper Ingles in 1982
Then came his role as Derek in Silver Spoons at age thirteen and a year later he landed the role of Matthew in the teen comedy series It's Your Move
Shortly after that followed the role of David Hogan in the family comedy series Valerie which lasted until 1991
By then it became clear that prolific young actor (who often work on several projects simultaneously) is in it for the long haul and he became one of the few child stars that truly made the transition into adult acting successfully. He went on and starred in many movies and TV series. But it is his comedic ability for which he is most famous like for instance his role as Michael Bluth in the ever popular Arrested Development
